I can't WAIT to see the rest!! She is so talented and I absolutely love that we did this session in our own home so one day when we look back we'll be able to look back on the home we were in when the girls were born.
My belly looks small in these pics compared to now - ha!

Their Own Identities Already
Well, I don't guess we're going to have a hard time telling the girls apart once they arrive - it looks as if they really are a pound apart in their weights. We went back in today for full measurements and Kennedy weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. and Mary Morgan was 4 lbs. 1 oz. They both looked great and were still doing a really good job practicing their breathing and strong heartbeats. It looks like they are just teaching us a lesson really early that they are their own individual people and they will be doing their own thing from this point forward. Dr. Brantley consulted a high risk OB just to confirm her strategy and they both agreed that as long as Mary Morgan stays above the 10th% in her weight then there isn't too much cause for concern. Currently she is at 17%. They are both gaining weight and there doesn't appear to be any other development issues, so now we'll have to visit the doctor twice a week to keep a close eye on their development and make sure they're both still growing and gaining weight. No steroids are needed to help them develop their lungs since I'm already at the 34 week mark. My BP was OK and I'm not dilated - so we're just going to work really hard at making it to 37 weeks to give them time to plump up and fully develop.
I also visited the eye doctor today at Dr. Brantley's suggestion. I've had two episodes since Thursday where I'm watching TV and then all of a sudden it is like I am watching a Grateful Dead movie in one eye! It is like a circle of flashing lights and colors that starts in the center of my eye and then slowly moves out until it makes it outside of my line of vision. It is the craziest thing I've ever seen! The eye doctor today said that it is called an ocular migraine which comes from changes in blood flow and pressure on a blood vessel or nerve in the eye. Strange - but nothing to worry about. It comes with a dull headache, but doesn't require treatment of any kind and will hopefully cease after the pregnancy. Until then I'll try to enjoy my psychadelic light show!

He'll fit right in...
Yesterday Taylor's office threw us a great shower to help us get ready for the girls impending arrival. Oh yeah - can you tell that he's going to fit right in being a Dad of silly girls?? A couple of weeks ago my work threw us a diaper shower, too, but somehow I managed to escape without a single picture! We have been SO blessed by those around us wanting to help us celebrate and help prepare for these girls. They are certainly entering into a world of love! THANK YOU to all of you!

33 Week Appt.
As all of my appointments do, today we started out with a sonogram with the "good" sonogram technician. No fun pictures to post today because the girls just did not want to cooperate and we spent the whole time strictly business trying to get good measurements. Kennedy was all measured in probably about 10 minutes - showing her sweet profile and even making sucking motions with her mouth. She estimated her to weigh 4lbs 11 oz! I couldn't believe that she was that big! She is in the 44th% for her weight and we are so proud of her.
Mary Morgan had a tough time today - she just couldn't get in a good position and the sonogram tech did her best trying to get the best measurements she could. However, she was only estimated to weigh 3lbs 11oz and that was after some measuring and remeasuring. She is only in the 16th% for her weight. Not a huge concern - but my doc doesn't like for them to really be that different in weight so as to ensure that one isn't getting all the nutrients and the other is lacking. So, before we get too concerned, I go back on Monday to measure them all over again and hope they are in better positions.
The good news is their little hearts were strong, practicing their breathing, and I'm doing good, too. My mother-in-law makes this awesome rice with beef consumme and butter which caused me to swell a good bit yesterday and my BP had a nice little jump - and the scale showed that today! It's time to start watching the salt intake, I guess! I'm not dilated which is good since Mary Morgan may need to stay in there a little while to gain some weight.
My Mom came over this week and helped me sort and wash all the clothes, organize the nursery, and wrap Christmas presents. It was a huge help! Thank goodness for great Moms! Only 3 weeks from Monday until we get to meet these girls!

32 Week Appt.
Today was my 32 week appointment and everything is still on track. The sonogram was fun - the girls were moving all over the place and there are body parts everywhere! You can see from the pics below - they have each other's feet in their faces and there is literally no free room in there. Their hearts look good and they did a biophysical profile and both girls are practicing their breathing very well. Next week we should get updated weights on each of them. Look at those cheeks - they look pretty chunky to me!
I'm doing great, also. I'm not dilated, my blood pressure is still good, and I only gained 1 lb. in the last 2 weeks - that's the best news of the day!

Mary Morgan - it looks like she is picking her nose with her foot!

Husband of the Year
Ok - Taylor totally wins the Husband of the Year award after tonight! He accompanied me to a breastfeeding class tonight at the hospital after I totally convinced him that all the other husbands would be there, too. When we arrived in the lobby he was the ONLY husband there. Bless his heart - he didn't even run at that point even after I told him I wouldn't hold it against him. He sat through 2 hours of a room full of girls talking about nipples, pumping, creams, and even some video! He is such a good sport and I'm sure this won't be the last time he's surrounded by a room full of women. He'll learn to tune all of the female talk out like my Dad has. He is totally redeemed for whatever I've been upset with him about in my recent hormonal fits. ha! Love you honey!

31 Weeks!
I can't believe it is already November. I am officially 31 weeks today and the website says that is like carrying 4 naval oranges - so for me that's 8 naval oranges! I do feel like I have oranges rolling around in there at times!

I had a great sisters weekend while Taylor went to New Orleans for a guy's trip this past weekend. With my sinus infection and my sister's kidney stone - we were pretty low-key. We hung out at my house and watched a movie, lounged around, and did a little shopping. We did hit up some cute boutiques and it was like a mini-Mistletoe for me since I know I won't be able to brave the Mistletoe crowds this year and I'm devastated!
Sunday night my church family threw me a shower. I am so blessed to have a church family that is such a great support system for us and is excited about welcoming our girls into the church family. The cake was just adorable and we got lots of the remaining necessities that we've been lacking. Thanks Emmanual family!!
